AMA Board of Directors Call for Nominations
The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) is pleased to invite
interested members to submit nominations to serve on the AMA Board
of Directors for the 2017 - 2020 term.
The Alberta Museums Association Board of Directors is a policy
governance board. Directors are elected for a three-year term. The
AMA Board is looking for engaged individuals with a shared belief
in the AMA's core values, knowledge of policy governance, and an
understanding of provincial government.
All nominees must review the following documents: Board
Director Duties & Responsibilities, Policy
Governance Overview, Board Governance Process Policies 6: Code
of Conduct and 7:
Conflict of Interest, and then complete and return the
Questionnaire and Board Nomination
All nominees must be current
Individual Voting Members of the AMA. The AMA Board will prepare a
slate of qualified candidates from the nominations received and
solicited. In the event that there are more candidates than
positions to be filled, an election, by secret ballot, will be held
at the Annual General Meeting in Edmonton, Alberta on September 23,
The AMA does not accept
nominations from the floor at the Annual General
The deadline for nomination is
Friday, July 14, 2017.
