Call for Conference Program Committee Members

Are you passionate about the museum sector in Alberta, creating
exciting learning opportunities, and connecting with your peers?
The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) is looking for volunteers to
join our 2021 Conference Program Committee!
Members of the Program Committee for our 50th Anniversary
Conference Series will review session proposals, engage in
discussion about Conference content, and help shape both the live
program and additional content released before and after each
This year's Program Committee will be involved in all four
events in the Conference Series. The time commitment is
approximately two to four hours of proposal review and two hours of
committee discussion ahead of each event. Virtual committee
meetings will be held in January, April, July, and September.
Program Committee members receive complimentary registration to
Conference and are thanked during the event.
The AMA is committed to fostering an equitable, diverse, and
inclusive environment for our learning programs. We actively
encourage applications from underrepresented groups, including but
not limited to Indigenous peoples, members of visible minority
groups, persons with disabilities, and persons of any sexual
orientation or gender identity and expression. The AMA also strives
to ensure the Program Committee represents the size and geographic
location of our members, as well as to involve emerging
professionals to ensure perspectives from individuals at all stages
of career development are reflected.
