Museums for Me

Engaging Canadians in the Museums for Me Public Campaign

The Alberta Museums Association (AMA) is leading a consortium of museum associations from across Canada that are partnered in Museums for Me, a project engaging Canadians on the meaning and value they see in museums.

It's an important time to focus on what Canadians value in the work we do, and we're asking our members to help encourage participation. Click here to read more about the project from Meaghan Patterson, Executive Director / CEO.

How can you help?

We have developed a survey and are working to spread the word, and we would like to leverage your social media audiences to help encourage participation in the Museums for Me engagement campaign. You have access to Canadians who visit, follow, and love museums. This access would be invaluable in getting Canadians to participate in our engagement process.

Museums for Me has provided a simple toolkit with a suite of posts for you to use on your Twitter and Facebook pages, encouraging your followers and fans to visit the project website and take the engagement survey.

You can also help spread the word by sharing this toolkit with your networks, and encouraging them to participate and engage their audiences in the Museum for Me project. In addition to social media posts, the toolkit includes a short description that can be included in newsletters and emails to introduce the project to them.

You can learn more about the engagement at www.museumsforme.ca. You can reach Museums for Me by email at info@museumsforme.ca if you have any questions.

This is an important opportunity to spark a national conversation about the value of museums. We thank you in advance for your efforts to drive awareness and participation.
