About the Conference Series

The 2021 Conference Series will be guided by the four pillars of Reconciliation, Inclusion, Community, and Innovation. Across events in March, June, September, and November, we will explore the dynamic ways museums embed these pillars in their work to represent, engage, and connect with the people and world around them.

With each live half-day virtual event, you will hear from sector leaders in keynote presentations, join in breakout sessions, and network with colleagues for social events at the end of the day. Delegates will also have access to a special event hub with exclusive Conference tie-in content released alongside the program, session recordings available after the event, and opportunities to join in the AMA's celebrations as we look back on the Alberta museum community over the last 50 years.

As an ongoing series in a dynamic virtual space, each event program will feature different session formats and unique opportunities to participate and engage with fellow delegates. Program details will be released approximately one month ahead of each event.

 

Call for Proposals 

The AMA Conference program is built from submissions from you, our colleagues and members of Alberta's and Canada's museum sector. 

The AMA's Call for Proposals for live sessions, workshops, and tie-in content for our September and November Conference events remains open. Learn more about our 2021 Conference pillars and how you can submit a proposal here. The next submission deadline is July 12
