This presentation outlines a way forward for the museum sector
amidst changing priorities in an unstable world. Emlyn seeks
to inspire reflection on mission-critical matters with bold
rethinking about traditional ways and means.

Emlyn Koster
|
Emlyn Koster, PhD is a geoscientist, museologist and synthesist
with a distinguished career in the museum sector. At the helm of
the Royal Tyrrell Museum, Ontario Science Centre, Liberty Science
Center, and North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, his approach
to leadership advanced their internal cohesion and external value.
Focussed on the existential challenges confronting the world, Emlyn
advocates for an Anthropocene-minded renaissance to raise awareness
of the interdependency of nature and culture, in the context of
humanity's escalating disruption of the Earth System.

Join us for the evening Awards Gala as we
acknowledge and celebrate the 2023 recipients of the Leadership
Awards, the Robert R. Janes Award for Social Responsibility, and
the Lieutenant Governor's Award! Learn more about and have an
opportunity to support the AMA's new Knowledge Development Bursary
Program. Enjoy a three-course dinner provided by Heritage Park and
entertainment curated by Indigenous Tourism Alberta.
This year's Awards Gala will feature:
