Fall Gathering
September 5, 2025
Sunnybrook Farm Museum
Red Deer, Alberta

Registration is now open for the 2025 Fall Gathering! Join colleagues from across Alberta to celebrate the achievements of the 2025 Award Recipients. Event registration includes:

  • a morning pass to Red Deer-area museums
  • lunch provided by three local chefs and inspired by the land
  • the Alberta Museums Association (AMA) Awards Ceremony, opened with fiddle music by Brianna Lizotte
  • An afternoon exploring Sunnybrook Farm Museum, networking, and participating in an art-making activity.

Make the most of your morning by exploring the fascinating local history and culture of Central Alberta! Stop by a few participating museums of the Central Alberta Regional Museum Network (CARMN) on your way into Red Deer or enjoy a morning connecting with a new museum. Tickets include a pass allowing entry to AMA Member sites in the Red Deer region. See the full listing of included museums below.

Lunch will be a buffet-style selection of locally inspired dishes from three Central Alberta chefs, Denia Baltzer of Creative Cuisine Catering, Zainab Mohamoud of the African Caribbean Centre of Central Alberta, and Phil Warren of 53 on Ross.

Following the Awards Ceremony and networking portion of the day, participants will have the opportunity to register for an educational walking tour of the natural areas near Sunnybrook Farm Museum, provided by an Indigenous guide. Registration for this additional programming will open in mid-August.

After the Fall Gathering, we invite you to join us at the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. for their free #FirstFridaysRedDeer event and opening reception for a new exhibition by Ian Cook.

The 2025 Fall Gathering is presented in partnership with the Central Alberta Regional Museums Network and graciously sponsored by Know History.
