Grants Program

The 2021 - 2022 Grant Season is now open.

The AMA Grants Program provides funds to qualifying Individual and Institutional Members through the financial support of the Alberta Government.

Members must be in good standing by the grant deadline to be eligible for funding. As all new members must be ratified by the AMA Board of Directors, a process that takes a month, please apply for membership with adequate time to ensure you are a full member and eligible for grant application before the appropriate deadline.

Grants Program Changes for 2021 - 2022

The AMA has adjusted the Grants Program for the 2021 - 2022 granting year to better support the membership as we continue to navigate these uncertain times.

For the 2021 - 2022 granting year, the revised Grant Run deadlines are as follows:

Grant Category Draft Review Deadline Application Deadline
Professional Development June 11, 2021 July 2, 2021
Operational Staffing September 10, 2021 October 1, 2021
Institutional January 11, 2022 February 1, 2022

In addition, changes to the Professional Development Grant have been made to reflect the uncertainty caused by COVID-19 public health restrictions and to ensure the funds available have an immediate impact for as many members of the sector as possible.

For more information, please see our Membership Advisory.
