The AMA has many publications to provide information and promote
excellence in museums.
INFOrm
INFOrm is the e-magazine of the AMA. Its goal is to connect the
Alberta museum community with the information, resources, and
people that contribute to its success. INFOrm contains articles
submitted by AMA members, staff, and other heritage professionals
as well as information about topics relevant to the Alberta museum
community.
Members of the AMA can view current and past issues in the
Members Only area.

STANDARD PRACTICES HANDBOOK FOR MUSEUMS, 3RD
EDITION
The Handbook addresses standards of practice and their
implementation in seven areas: Museums and Society, Governance and
Operations, Collections Management, Conservation, Research,
Programming, and Exhibits. Key concepts have been updated and
discussions around emergent trends in museum practice have been
added. The revisions to the Handbook and its function as a key
resource in the museum community ensure that the AMA is a leader in

HELP! AN EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS MANUAL FOR MUSEUMS,
2ND EDITION
The Alberta Museums Association's updated edition of this
award-winning guide helps collecting organizations prepare for,
respond to, and recover from emergencies. Over 300 pages, it offers
expert, up-to-date guidance, and is designed to be a hands-on
reference book to be used for different points on the emergency
preparedness planning and response cycle.
